A two-way switch is a switch used to turn a lamp or group of lamps on and off from two separate locations. It is used in lighting systems with multiple panels, at the entrances and exits of long corridors with double entrances, in stairwell lighting in two-story buildings, and in situations where two rooms open onto the same balcony. A two-way switch has three connection terminals. The phase conductor from the fuse is connected to one of these terminals, and the conductors going to the other two-way switch are connected to the other terminals.
